The Memory Laboratories
bebra verlag, 2013

This book, based on research conducted for my BA thesis, investigates how small, local history museums in post-communist East Germany were suddenly faced with the task of re-writing the past 40 years of history after the Fall of the Berlin Wall—this time from the ground up, without the ready-made propagandist narrative previously imposed by the state.

The book was reviewed here by Regina Mönch in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
